Terms and conditions of membership and membership waiting lists.
Please read the following information carefully; by applying for membership or a place on a membership waitlist, you are agreeing to these terms & conditions. Do not request membership or apply to be waitlisted if you do not understand or agree with the information provided below.
Doylestown Pickleball requires all users of its facilities to have a valid CourtReserve account. When established, this account provides non-member status and is the minimum requirement for subsequent registration for any events and/or court rentals. Subject to availability, non-members may purchase a membership and enjoy certain benefits that are unavailable to non-members. The benefits offered by the different membership categories are published separately and are subject to change during the life of a membership.
The membership application form is intended for existing account holders only. If you do not have an account, and would like one, you may create an account. The name, email address and player number that you provide on the form, must be the same as those used for your existing CourtReserve account.
By submitting the membership application form, you acknowledge that you are authorizing Doylestown Pickleball to alter your account status and charge any of your credit cards on file in accordance with the membership fee schedule in place at the time that your membership request is processed.
If you request membership for a category that is full, and you have checked the appropriate box on the application form, you will be added to the waitlist for that membership category; see below (Membership waitlists) for more information. There is no charge for being added to a waitlist.
Members may receive discounted court fees and/or priority event registrations compared to those available to non-members. Prevailing court fees and registration availability details are published separately and are subject to change during the life of a membership. Membership does not guarantee discounted rates, priority registration or court availability under any circumstances. Event registrations and court rentals are available, to those that qualify, on a first-come, first-served basis.
Memberships, and any associated benefits, are valid only for the named member and are non-transferable.
Membership duration.
Annual membership is valid for 12 calendar months from its issue date.
Monthly membership is valid for one calendar month from its issue date.
Outdoor membership is valid for 12 calendar months from its issue date.
Membership waitlists.
Membership availability is limited for all categories.
Doylestown Pickleball account holders seeking membership may choose to be added to the waitlist for their selected membership category if that membership category is not available. This may be done by checking the relevant box on the membership application form at the time that the membership application form is initially submitted.
Membership waitlistees shall be processed in the order in which applications are received. If a membership becomes available in the waitlistee's chosen category, Doylestown Pickleball will attempt to notify that waitlistee using contact information stored as part of the waitlistee's Doylestown Pickleball CourtReserve account. Doylestown Pickleball must receive a response from the waitlistee within 72 hours after such a membership offer notification attempt is made or the membership offer shall be forfeited. Doylestown Pickleball is not responsible for the failure of any communication channels that it, or the waitlistee, may employ, or attempt to employ, in order to transmit and/or receive information regarding any membership offer and/or acceptance of said offer.
Inclusion on a membership waitlist does not provide any guarantee of future membership in any category. At the appropriate time, membership shall be offered to the individual named on the waitlist only; waitlist places are non-transferable.
Membership expiration and renewal ("Auto-Pay").
By default, memberships run only for the period purchased; they do not auto-renew.
To help ensure continuity of membership, members have the option to turn on "Auto-Pay" in their CourtReserve account profile. This option is exclusively under member control. If you choose to use Auto-Pay, you are reminded that it is your responsibility to ensure that any credit cards stored on file with us are up to date and have adequate credit available. Doylestown Pickleball is not responsible for payment failures that impact membership renewal.
Upon annual membership expiration, a player's account enters an "expired" state. Players shall then have ten (10) calendar days in which to renew their expired membership or purchase a different category of available membership. If a player does not purchase any membership during that period, their account shall be returned to non-member status. Subject to availability, such players may purchase a membership at a later date, but they may have to join a waitlist before doing so.
Monthly membership accounts will automatically revert to non-member status within 48 hours of expiration.
The fee payable for a membership in any category shall be that which is in effect at the time that a membership is renewed and/or issued.
Annual membership cancellation by you.
At any time, and for any reason, you may request cancellation of your annual membership. If you cancel your membership, you may request a partial refund for the unused portion, if any. The amount of a membership refund shall not exceed the prorated value of any whole unused months remaining on the membership at the time that your membership cancellation request is processed by us. Refunds shall be further subject to the deduction of all financial member benefits received by the member during the active portion of the membership for which cancellation is being requested. This may include, but is not limited to, discounts for group play events, court rentals, instructional classes, leagues and tournaments. The prorated value of the membership shall be based upon the fee originally paid for the membership for which cancellation is being requested.
Monthly membership cancellation by you.
At any time, and for any reason, you may request cancellation of your monthly membership. Refunds are not available for any unused portion of a monthly membership.
Membership cancellation by us.
At any time, and for any reason, Doylestown Pickleball may terminate your membership with or without notice. In such circumstances, and if appropriate, any unused portion of a membership so affected may be refunded in accordance with the relevant policies for annual and monthly membership cancellation above.
Annual membership suspension by you.
In certain circumstances, Doylestown Pickleball may agree to suspend your annual membership. This benefit is principally intended to help those that have sustained long term injuries. It is not intended to be used by part-time residents or those taking extended vacations; there are alternative membership options available for such circumstances.
You may be asked to provide evidence to support your request. All account holder and member benefits are unavailable during periods of membership suspension. Note that membership suspension periods are a minimum of one calendar month, a maximum of one calendar year and are generally available only once during your current membership period. Memberships with less than 30 days remaining are ineligible for suspension.

At any time, and for any reason, Doylestown Pickleball may suspend your membership with or without notice.
Notifications.
At the time of account creation, all important system notification subscriptions are turned on by default. Account holders should be aware of the possible implications of unsubscribing from such notifications.
