Doylestown Pickleball has been a proud Blaze of Glory 5K sponsor for the past few years. The funds go to support our local volunteer fire department. You might even be lucky to see a bunch of our firemen & firewomen on the pickleball courts with you. Below, you will find information about how to participate.
Supporting Our Local Heroes:
All proceeds from the race directly benefit the Plumsteadville Volunteer Fire Company. These brave volunteers have faithfully served our community for an impressive 94 years. Covering parts of both Plumstead and Bedminster Townships, they respond to approximately 325 emergency calls annually—ranging from house fires to auto accidents, rescues, brush fires, and more.
Where Your Contributions Go:
Safety Gear: Outfitting a single firefighter with essential safety equipment costs over $5,500.00.
Air Packs: An additional expense of $8,500.00 per air pack ensures their safety during critical moments.
Fire Truck Replacement: The cost to replace a fire truck falls between $650,000 and $800,000.
A Heartfelt Thank You: Your support honors our local heroes—the Plumsteadville Volunteer Fire Company. We look forward to seeing you at the start/finish line!

Parking
There will be limited parking at the Fire House. Alternatively, you can park at the Giant Parking Lot at Stump Road and 611 and walk. Children will be in the Fire House Lot, so exercise extra caution!
